Snickerdoodle cookies also known as Cinnamon Sugar cookies are incredibly soft and tasty with that hint of cinnamon that fills your nostrils and taste buds with pure nostalgia.

- Measuring cup
- 2 mixing bowls
- Rounded tablespoon
- Plastic wrap
- Wire rack
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl beat butter until creamy then add, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Combine into a smooth mixture.
- Combine dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt; add dry ingredients to creamy mixture and blend well.
- Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Mix together the 3 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon.
- Remove dough from refrigerator and measure out into 1” balls using a rounded tablespoon.
- Coat the balls with the sugar/cinnamon mixture and place 2 “apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Cookies can be flattened using a round glass surface if desired.
- Bake cookies for 10 minutes then remove oven.
- Transfer cookies from cookie sheets to wired rack quickly.
